RTVE seeks real estate agent
Radio Television Española (RTVE), Spain´s national broadcaster, intends to sell 32 plots of land and properties located in the Spain for a total amount of 85.6 million euro. The corporation is currently looking for an estate agent capable of assisting them during the transactions, which include taking care of certain legal procedures. The chosen estate agent will be given a 3.1 million euro budget.
The properties to be sold are mostly vacant or offer services which could be carried in another of its work centres. These buildings are known as „idle assets“, meaning they are no longer productive and fail to produce sufficient revenue.
A major operation involves the plot of land located in Las Rozas, Madrid. The area, which measures 245,000 square metres and is valued at 49.3 million euro, is currently used as the as the broadcasting centre for Radio 1 and Radio 5 MW. The facilities located on the site will be moved to a cheaper area in order to generate higher profits.
The headquarters of Radio Nacional de España, located in Barcelona, are also part of the portfolio that will go up for sale.
