IKEA Centres Russia's project is going on
The Russian Crisis could not stop IKEA: IKEA Centres Russia, the major shopping centre operator in the country, has announced the final winners of their Project MEGA ACCELERATOR. Ten teams have been selected between the 197 companies which were shortlisted among 500 applicants. The project is implemented by IKEA Centres with the support of GVA Launch Gurus, a leading start-up and entrepreneurship expert. Its main goal is to identify innovative solutions throughout which the MEGA shopping malls can be improved and become much more than a traditional shopping centre experience to their customers. In order to achieve this, the chosen teams will be brought together in the co-working space PO2RT, and mentored to expose and develop their ideas throughout what is known as the three month "Acceleration period". Initially each team will receive Euro 5,000. Further on, the final winner, which will be announced in May 2016, shall obtain Euro 50,000 to continue developing new ideas for MEGA shopping malls.
